South Sudan's Presidential Affairs Minister Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin  said the pair have highlighted numerous ways to strengthen relations in various sectors which includes boosting joint cooperation between SPLM and the Ruling ANC party in South Africa.

The UN Security Council on May 30th 2023, agreed to further extend the arm embargo on South Sudan for at least a year to control the flow of firearms into the country to protect civilians.
