The government controversial policy to send asylum seekers to Rwanda has been blocked by Court of Appeal after senior judges reversed the decision that say 'Rwanda is a third safe country'. The policy was introduced by the UK government last spring in an effort to deter Illegal migrants crossing to the UK by small boats.

The government has faced fierce criticism from Human Rights campaigners over the policy amid fears about the country's human rights records.

The Rwandan Government responded to the  Court of Appeal’s ruling, with spokeswoman Yolande Makolo saying: “Rwanda is one of the safest countries in the world and we have been recognized by the UNHCR and other international institutions for our exemplary treatment of refugees.
