The Egyptian authority have arrested a 35 year old man who has attempted to rape a 13 year old school girl on Wednesday 19th. 

The man has been identified by the police as Khairruddin Anwar Hussein who works as a security guard in one of the family  house in Cairo. The incident happened in Hadayiq El-Maadi residential area whereby police have obtained a CCTV footage that shows the suspect wielding a knife on the schoolgirl and taking her to his room. The survivor is currently receiving treatment and the suspect is being interrogated by the police and awaiting trail.  Joseph Frederick Ladu , the brother of the schoolgirl said the accused man has been referred to the Public Prosecution Office and is under investigation by the Prosecutors. 

According to Egyptian Court of Law, anyone found committing rape is either punished with life imprisonment or death penalty.
